This question came in my mind multiple times per day.
– in line at the grocery store
– at the bank
Who am I kidding!?
It happened every time I was standing!
Initially it would be sort of tolerable, then the pressure of me standing on my leg and the blood flow to my knee would cause the knee to swell even worse.
There was no focusing on anything else except getting relief in my knee.
I couldn’t focus the cashier or what the bank teller was saying to.
My mind screamed, “Just shut the hell up and do what I asked!”
Lord help anyone that slowed me down. Like the woman that pulls out her checkbook to write her check for groceries and all that entailed.
My patience was non existent!
If anyone was with me, I felt that uncomfortable silence from them because they were afraid to say anything.
More than once I was told being around me is like “walking on eggshells…”
Non of that made a shyt to me because all I could focus on was my knee.
Irritating, aggravating and annoying…all the time…
Just worse when I was standing.
It all changed when I began to realize, there were so many things I could be doing while I was standing in line.
Just standing period, that would reduce the pain in my knee.
Ways I could stand and work with my legs, hips, ankles and feet using “Pain-Pattern Interrupts”
Of course these were never the same from one day to the next…
Even one moment to the next…I realized my body was constantly shifting and changing due to so many outside factors I never even considered before.
As I began to look at each of these factors and experiment with them.
I noticed changes in how I felt and most importantly how my knees felt.
No longer did I feel victim to what was going on in my knees.
I felt calmer…more empowered…more relaxed.
Was the knee pain completely gone?
No immediately but I could predict with surprising accuracy what was causing my knee pain
and even more importantly what I could do to get myself out of pain.
It takes a little bit of time to get there and definitely worth the journey!
