Ode to “hurt so good” spots and itchy dog butts…

Still over Mark’s place…in addition to talking parrots…

He’s got chickens, dogs, cats, tilapia (fish), parakeets, etc.

Suffice to say it’s pretty busy around here!

This morning I’m getting ready for the day and I hear this commotion outside my window.

Sounds little like a cross between someone being tortured and a pleasurable moan.

I look outside and see Mark’s little dog, Pearl.

Pearl looks like the small white talking dog from the movie, “Men in Black.”

She’s squatted down scratching her @ss on the ground using a small tree as leverage.

For a moment I didn’t know what to think.

I spoke to Mark about it, “Yeah, Pearl does that until her backside is raw and nearly bloody.”

(Great visual huh?)

Anyhoo…

The same thing happens when the knee hurts and you push through the pain.

At the time it seems like a good thing to do.

“Push through the pain,”

The problem in this case, if you’re already starting out in pain, this just makes the knee pain worse!

Even that “hurt so good feeling” still hurts for days and sometimes weeks afterwards.

If you really think about this, you’re not getting any closer to getting out of pain.

That’s because your knee in pain can’t get out of pain going through pain.

This is just on a physical level of course…

Every time you take a step and feel pain it teaches your body to hurt.

Just like learning a new skill, you must practice that skill over and over to make sure that skill is trained into your body.

The place to begin is with learning the skill of getting your knee out of pain with comfort…

That is getting yourself out of pain whenever you feel pain…

It’s a worthy skill to learn that will bring you peace of mind and last the rest of your life.

Click on the link and schedule a time to speak so your knee don’t feel like Pearl’s butt.
