The Girl At The Gas Station With Knee Pain

Earlier today I was at the gas station filling up. This girl drove up in a red pontiac sunbird and got out of her car with a huge bag of ice taped to her right knee.  She looked to be in her early 20’s athletic playing softball or volleyball.  She also look to be in a great amount of discomfort having to compensate for her right knee walking “straight legged.”  So she looked not only to be in discomfort from the knee injury itself, but also the compensation pattern her body needed to take on in order to function as a result of

I was suddenly transported back in time to when I just had my knee injury and was hobbling around with an ice pack on my own knee.  A couple of questions came to mind…

Knowing what I know now.

How would I have dealt with the knee injury?

How do I think the outcome would have been different?

So this is sort of a short “first aid for knee pain” that I wanted to share with you….

1.) I would immediately follow R.I.C.E. therapy – see for more information: https://www.freetrainers.com/FT/jsp/RICETherapy.jsp

2.) The next thing I would do to rule out anything that is torn or broken would be to get to an orthopedic doctor.  Usually your closest sports university will have a team doctor that will be your best option for looking at your knee.

3.) The third thing I would do would be to start drinking lots of water.  This is going to begin to flush out the toxins in your body that are building up as a result of your body not moving as freely as it normally does and will promote your body’s healing process.  For more info see: https://www.watercure.com/

4.) Cut out wheat, sugar, dairy, and processed foods.  These types of foods lowers your body’s PH level creating more of an acidic state thus making it more difficult for your body to heal itself.

5.) Get a tube of Traumeel to begin to apply topically to place.

6.) Get a bottle of Traumeel and begin taking according to the directions on the bottle.

If you follow these 6 steps, I believe you will have a real good idea what you are dealing with regarding your knee pain as well as optimize your body’s ability to recover from your knee injury as quickly as possible.

To your pain free knees,

Bill
