How we meet face to face:
- All private consultations occur using Skype Video online.
a. Skype is free and easy to download - Skype provides free live video, so I can see your knee and how you are doing the exercises I recommend. And you can see my demonstration of what you need to do each week when we meet.
- Skype provides free live “voice” communication. When we are both logged into Skype, I can just tap the Phone button and call you at our appointment time. Then we tap the “video” button and we are meeting face to face over the computer.
- Equipment support for Consultations on Skype. I recommend you visit Radio Shack to get what you need. The stores are small, the sales people are knowledgeable and it’s quick and affordable. Below is a list of what you may need. (You can also get this equipment at Best Buy, Walmart or any other large store – I just prefer one on one help, so I go to Radio Shack.)
Video Camera: if your computer/laptop does not have a built-in camera, it’s cheap and easy to install one. You will need to make a choice that is compatible with your computer. (That is why I like Radio Shack…they just seem to get it.) Cameras range from $30 – $50, and you do not need anything more expensive than that.
Headsets: it is helpful for our conversations that you have an audio headset. It should have headphones for your ears and a microphone to speak. It makes it easier to hear each other when we talk. For comfort, I prefer the style with two earphones (stereo). Headsets range from $20-30, and you do not need anything more expensive that that.
If you need support with your setup or would like to test out your connection before our first session, I can make arrangements for you to contact one of my staff and we will do whatever we can to support you.
