This week a football player had a severe knee injury where he tore his ACL, meniscus, and medial condyle. He has had several surgeries to clean up his knee however he still has pain in the knee and the doctor is proposing another surgery to deal with it…
Here is my take on an article regarding women and knee pain. Even though everything points to women having “weaker” ligaments, I do believe they are able to specifically target the tendons and ligaments in their knees to get over as well as prevent future knee injuries.
It is important to incorporate both an active and passive stretching program in order to achieve a full recovery from chronic knee pain. Without looking at both types of stretching then your body is less likely to be well adapted to recovery from your existing knee injury as well as prevent any further knee injuries down the road.
